Who Are We?

Break Trail Co. is a leather and canvas goods manufacturer that provides heirloom quality items primarily using materials sourced from the United States.

We buy materials (leather & waxed canvas) from reputable tanneries and fabric manufacturers like Wickett and Craig in Pennsylvania, Horween Leather Co. from Illinois, and Fairfield Textile in New Jersey to make finished goods.

The name of my business is Break Trail. By definition it means to cut a new path in the terrain. We view Break Trail as a call to action. It is a call to go out and explore, to take risks, to see what is possible. It is meant to encourage people to get out and explore, whether that’s something as simple as changing their style or as big as finding new communities and discovering new interests or taking that long over-do trip. Our goal is to provide the unfailing goods for whatever is needed for the next adventure.

The Story

For most of my life, it felt as though I was always waiting for something to happen to me. I drifted from milestone to milestone without ever having a better understanding of what I wanted to do with my life. After college, I realized that if I wanted to have a fulfilling life, I would have to find purpose, even if that meant doing something riskier. It has been a bit of a wild ride so far, but I have finally found a balance of what I want to do and a plan of how to get there.
